Synttärilahja Jaanalle...A birthdaygift for Jaana....

Osallistuin tänä vuonna Yahoon Ristipistolistan synttäriswappiin, joka on tullut mainittua moneen kertaan. Tässä viimeinen tänä vuonna synttärisankarille matkannut lahja, saksikoriste Jaanalle. Täytyy myöntää että Jaanalle oli erityisemmän mukava pistellä lahjaa, koska hänkin on yksi niistä blogimaailman pistelijöistä, kenet olen tavannut ihan oikeasti ja on kyllä tosi ihana ihminen. Vilkutukset vaan sinne Joensuuhun päin! Saksikoristeen malli on vaihteeksi slaavilainen, lanka Atalien Rubis ja kangas 18 ct aida.

This year I participated in the Finnish Yahoo Cross-stitchers Birthday-swap, as I have told so many times before. Here is the last one I sent this year, a scissors-fob for Jaana. I have to admit that it was particulary fun to stitch for her as we have really met and Jaana is such a wonderful person! ( Waves to Joensuu!!!) The design is slavic for a change, the thread Rubis by Atalie and the fabric 18 ct aida.

Torniossa on kirpeän kylmä syksysää. Hieman vihmoo lunta ja ennustaa talven olevan kovin lähellä! Tutuissa Pistoissa jatkuu synttärihumu, seuraavalla kerralla ehkä hieman Tildalla maustettuna. OUPS:in yhden yli vaihdossa vaihtoparikseni sattui Minna, mistä olin todella hyvilläni. Minna on tosi ihana ihminen ja hyvä ystävä, joten hänelle oli kiva pistellä. Tein neulavihkon ja pistelin siihen etukanteen M-kirjaimen ja takakanteen kuvion.

Our local stitching club in the OULU-area arranged a Stitched over one-exchange, in which I participated. I stitched for Minna, who is a wonderful person and a good friend. Therefore I was very pleased to get her as my partner. I stitched the letter M on the front and an ornament on the back.

Yleistä marmatusta...Complaining, complaining...

Siis, jos innokas ristipistoilija yhtäkkiä joutuu tilanteeseen ettei voi ostaa yhtään mallia, lehteä, lankaa tai kangasta kunnes budjetti on saatu kuntoon, mitä siitä seuraa? Katastroofi. Toisaalta pistelijän puoliso on sitä mieltä että ostotauko ei haittaa mitään. Arghh... muistan kehuneeni puolisoa jossain vaiheessa, peruutan moisen väitteen ymmärtäväisestä puolisosta.


Mikäkö on syynä. Armas verottaja!!!! Muisti mokoma yritystä 2600 euron lisäverolla vuoden 2007 tuloista ja pelkäämpä pahoin että viime vuodelta tulee todennäköisesti myös! Kääk! Olen kirjoittanut laskuja muutaman päivän, kummasti parani työmotivaatio ja bloggaaminen työaikana ei olekaan niin addiktoivaa kuin olen kuvitellut!


Onneksi minulla on vielä MUUTAMA malli, lehti, kangasta ja lankaakin jemmassa pahan päivän varalle.:)

If a enthusiastic stitcher is enable to buy designs, magazines, fabrics and threads for a while, because of a bad economic situation, what happens? It´s a disaster! DH thinks that a little break doesn´t matter. I do remember praising him for beeing such an understanding stitchers husband. I take all that back!!!


And what is the reason for a sudden economical catastrophe. Well, the tax authorities, of course! We have to pay 2600 € and that is of 2007 income. I´m afraid that there is more to come of 2008 income! The past few days I have worked really hard writing and sending bills to our customers. My motivation to work increased remarkably and I have noticed that blogging isn´t so addictive any more.

Luckily I have SOME designs, magazines, fabrics and thread in stock.:)

Syntymäpäivälahja ihanalle ystävälle...Birthdaypresent for a wonderful friend...

Ihanalla ystävällä, Lennulla oli alkuviikosta synttärit. Virkkasin hänelle lahjaksi tämän virkatun setin pikkuliinoja, jonka mallin mukaisesti olen virkannut aikaisemminkin. Ihana DMC:n virkkauslanka jättää kaunista jälkeä, siitä on kyllä tosi kiva virkata! Tykkään!

Kuvan lainasin päivänsankarin omasta blogista, koska lähetyshetkellä kamera teki tepposet minulle. Nyt se on onneksi kunnossa!

A wonderful friend, Lennu had her birthday in the beginning of the week. I crocheted this pair of doilies for her. I really like the design and the yarn, which is DMC´s. So easy to crochet and easy to get a beautiful finish! My favourite!

BTW, the day I sent these doilies, my camera didn´t co-operate with me, so I had to borrow the pics from Lennus blog. Luckily, now is everything in order again!

Vihdoinkin jotain näytettävää...Something to show, at last...

Aikaa on kulunut viime kirjoituksesta aivan hurjasti, mutta koska en tykkää päivittää blogia ellei ole mitään näytettävää kuvina, niin... No, nyt on kuvasatoa, sekä Yahoon synttäriswappi-asiaa, että Lennun ristipistovaihtoa.

It´s really long time ago I have updated my blog but I just hate to update without any pics to show. Well, now I have some!

Tänä vuonna lähetän synttäripaketin kahdelle Yahoon ristipistolistan samanhenkiselle ystävälle ja toinen heistä on Minna . Minnalle pistelin IKEA:n rasian kanteen M-kirjaimen yhdestä Veronique Maillardin aakkoskirjasta. Kangas 8 sm leveää jacquardreunaista pellava-nauhaa ja lanka Atalien Passion.

This year I participate in the Finnish Yahoo Cross-stitchers Birthday swap and send presents for two ladies with similar hobbies. The first of them is Minna. I stitched this box cover for her on a box from IKEA. The fabric is linen band with jacquard edge and the thread Passion by Atalie. I chose the design from one of the many books with beautiful letters by Veronique Maillard.

Lennun syys-settivaihdossa sain parikseni Sarin, jolle oli tosi kiva pistellä koska olemme tavanneet ihan oikeasti viime keväänä. Sari kertoi lempiväreikseen punaisen eri sävyt ja niinpä tein hänelle kirjan kannet ja kirjanmerkin Atalien Rouge A ja Rubis sävyillä 18 ct aidalle. Kirjain on Papillon Creationin mallista Mary Queen of Scots ja muistikirja on ihan Tiimarin mallistoa. Olin tosi tyytyväinen kun löysin vielä sopivanväristä nyöriä kannen somisteeksi, joka on meilläpäin aika harvinaista. Kangaskauppojemme valikoima nauhojen, nyörien ja nappien osalta on valitettavan suppea!

In Lennus autumn-exchange I stitched for Sari, which was really fun, as we have actually met eachother last spring. One of Saris favourite-colours is red in different shades. Therefore I decided to made her a bookcover and a bookmark in Rouge A and Rubis by Atalie on 18 ct aida. The letter "S" is from the sampler Mary Queen of Scots by Papillon Creations and the book from a local hobby-shop. I was especially pleased finding a beautiful cord from a local shop aswell. Here were I live finding a matching cord, lace or button is very difficult!

Samassa vaihdossa minulle pisteli Virpi. Anteeksi kuvan laatu! Kuvissa on neulavihko ja neulavahti pistelty ruskealle pellavalle vihreällä ja malli on Peripherian joka on yksi ehdottomia lemppareitani. Toinen setti on kassi ja pussukka Marimekon kankaasta johon Virpi oli kirjaillut syksyn lehtiä koneella. Kaunis kiitos näistä! Kiitos myös Lennulle taas ihanan vaihdon järjestämisestä. Näihin on aina niin kiva osallistua!

In the same exchange Virpi stitched this set for me. Sorry about the bad quality of the pics. Virpi made a set of a needlebook and a pinkeep with green thread on dark brown linen. The design is by Peripheria which is one of my absolute favourite designers! The other set was a bag and a purse made of Marimekko-fabric covered with machine embroidered autumn leaves. Thank you Virpi so much for these sets! Thanks and a big hug also to Lennu for arranging these exchanges! It is allways so fun to participate in them!

Syntymäpäiväsankarille...For a birthdaygirl...

Tilda-ystäväni Aino täytti maanantaina vuosia ja päätin pistellä hänelle tämän A-kirjaimen rasian kanteen. Tätä oli niin kiva tehdä että varmasti tulevaisuudessa teen näitä useammankin. Kangas on pellavan väristä 18 ct aidaa, lanka Atalien Passion ja malli Isa Vautierin kirjasta "Les samplers en rouge et blanc" jossa on aivan ihania malleja. Rasia on IKEAsta Strikt toimistomallistosta.

Eilen kävimme sitten juhlimassa syntymäpäivä tyttöä koko Tilda-kerhomme voimalla. Oli taas ihana tavata kaikki ystävät pitkän tauon jälkeen. Tarjolla oli vaikka mitä herkkuja joita tietenkin tuli syötyä vähän liikaakin ja kuten tavallista nauroimme niin että vatsalihakset olivat kipeänä. Aikaansaannokset eivät tosin olleet kummoiset. Pistelin yhtä hys-hys juttua kolmen (!) piston verran. Onneksi olemme viikonlopun mökillä, toivottavasti saan siellä sitten ahkeroitua enemmän.

My Tildafriend, Aino, had her birthday on Monday and I decided to stitch this letter A for her and finish it as a box cover. This was so fun to do, that I am going to make more of them in the future. The fabric is 18 ct cotton-linen aida, the thread "Passion" by Atalie and the design from the book "Les samplers en rouge et blanc" by Isa Vautier. I just love the book because of its beautiful designs! The box is from IKEA and called Strikt.

Yesterday our local Tildaclub celebrated the birthday-girl. Oh how fun it was to meet all dear friends after the summerbrake. Aino had made lots and lots of delicious goodies and of course we had to taste them all! How we laught! As usual, my abs are sore after spending three hours with these ladies! I wasn´t very productive though. I started on a new secret piece but didn´t stitch more than three stitches on it. Next weekend we are going to our cottage and I hope I have time to stitch more there.

I participated for some time ago in a lottery arranged by Nora and the prize came last week. Hearts are allways lovely, thank you so much, Nora!

Lauantaina meillä oli kahdeksan OUPSin ja minun lisäkseni kolme ToPin naista pistelemistä. Voi sitä naurua ja puheensorinaa. Oli kyllä mahtava kuusituntinen, kiitos ystävät rakkaat!

Mari arveli että noinkin suuri naisporukka saattaisi jättää sotkua taakseen ja oli tehnyt minulle luutun. Kyllä tällä kelpaa pöytiä pyyhkiä!

On Saturday I arranged a cross-stitch gathering for eight ladies from Oulu and three ladies from our local stitching club. Oh how much laughing and talking there was! Six hours went really fast, thank you so much my dear friends!

Mari thought that I might need a dishcloth after such many visitors and she had made me one. It is beautiful, isn´t it!

Ystävälläni Katariinalla oli syntymäpäivä torstaina. Pistelin hänelle tämän saksikotelon. Kangas on 25 ct Floba, lanka Atalien Nuit ja malli osa Long Dog Samplerin Spirit of Vierland. Malli on pistelty yhdellä langan säikeellä kankaan yhden langan yli.

My friend, Katariina had her birthday on Thursday and I made her this scissors-case. The fabric is 25 ct Floba, the thread "Nuit" by Atalié and the design a small part of Spirit of Vierland by Long Dog Sampler. I stitched the design over one.

Oli tosi ihana viikonloppu ja se antoi todella voimia tähän arkeen. Huomenna on erään Tilda-ystävän synttäri-juhlat, mutta siitä lisää sitten loppuviikosta. Kiitos kun kävit, olet tervetullut toistekin. Ihanaa viikkoa!
